When to Use Your KLIMB Traction Mat
Use the Traction Mat when introducing new dogs to the KLIMB platform, working with senior dogs or those with physical limitations, training in wet or outdoor conditions, or any time your dog needs extra confidence and stability during training. As your dog's confidence grows, you can transition to using the KLIMB's standard PawGrip™ surface for more advanced platform work.

Better than expected! Dog does not slip at all! Stay in place perfectly! I’m really surprised how well they work! Was a little shocked at the price and thought about finding something else I could use but I’m glad I bought these fit perfectly lays flat and stays in place!

The traction mat is a must have for your climb platform, otherwise it is very slick. It stays in place and is very durable.

The Klimb on its own has great traction, but the mat offer added security and allows me to do more with my dog. It grips very well on the surface. Once contact is made, it does not slide at all. My boy already loved his Klimb, but loves it even more with the mat. I love that this company thinks of everything regarding a dogs safety.

These mats are a great addition to my Klimb platforms. When not in use for training, I use them on a leather chair and ottoman so my dogs don't damage the leather.

When I bought the Klimb platforms, I didn't know I I needed the traction mats, but with my crazy threesome I quickly figured out I did need them. They are a great addition, it keeps my crew from slipping off their Klimb platforms when they get a little too excited.

The traction mat gives a little bit of a grippy surface to the training platform. It's lightweight and perfectly fits the top of the platform. I added sticky velcro strips to keep the mat in place.

We love the traction mats and believe they give the dogs more secure footing. With both a puppy and a senior in our pack we want to make it as safe as possible for them. The mats provide the extra traction they need and we have had zero problems since using them.

This is my second Klimb, I love them! I use it for training, mainly and my dogs love them too! Strong, modular, and secure.

My dogs were more comfortable on the Klimb when I added this.

The mat is light weight and works fine. However, I wish the mat covered the whole top of the klimb. Now I have to buy 4 rubber pieces to fit in the holes on top. It’s more pieces to keep track off and carry.

I had purchased 2 of the KLIMBs after seeing how the trainer I went to used them. I didn't want my puppy falling off of them so I purchased mats. They fit perfectly and really do make a difference. I think Tobi feels much more secure and I don't get worried if he hops up there with a little more energy. They do fall off readily when you are carrying the KLIMBs so just be aware.

Product is just as described, works well for my dogs physical therapy needs. I just feel like there has to be a way to cap the indentations at the four corners while the legs are in use. It’s a matter of time before a toe gets stuck. And if a treat falls in there, it’s game over until we remove the the leg for him to get to the lost treat.

You need to be more specific about how slippery the stand is without this traction mat!

My old boy and young pup both look like they feel more stable on the platforms now that the grippy mat is on them.

Just buy this with the klimb. It's a no-brainer. Makes the platform MUCH more secure. My dogs can jump up and down now even with quite a bit of momentum without any issue. Without the mat they would probably slide right off the other side.

I thought this was going to stick to the Klimb so was a bit disappointed that it simply layers on top without any adhesive. It falls out every time I move it or want to store it on its side.

We understand your disappointment with the lack of complete sticking power no matter what angle you are at. Our Mats are designed to provide a non-slip surface without permanently adhering to the product, allowing for easy removal and cleaning. Be sure and thoroughly clean and dry the surface of both products before using. Using temporary double-sided tape has worked very well for customers using that option and it allows the ability to clean and reapply. However, we recognize that this may not meet everyone's expectations or needs. Traction mat is light weight and perfectly cut to fit the KLIMB. Quality rubber material. Mat stays put as I use the KLIMB to train for pause table in dog agility.
