Harness so good our dog ate it within the first week.

My boy Danny is a mixed breed and he fell between a standard small and a standard medium harness. The adjustability is wonderful! It fits him perfectly, he can't pull his way out of it. But it's light enough that he barely seems to notice it.

I purchased a M/L Reflective Harness in Blue Ice in July 2025. I noticed that the D ring on the back of the harness slipped sideways as shown. I finally remembered to snap this picture and emailed Blue-9. I had a response in less than an hour!

Blue -9 said this wasn’t normal and sent me a new harness at no charge. I just received the harness and it is perfect.

I've used these harnesses for my clients, and now my own dogs! They are adjustable at all spots, which is a little tedious in the beginning even with the guide, but this also makes it so you can have it fit JUST RIGHT for your dog. Excellent for dogs who are oddly shaped.
I also appreciate the neck buckle for dogs who are shy having harness slipped over their head.

I only wish there were more color options and larger sizes for XXL dogs!

This harness is more than a piece of equipment. It's apart of my dogs and my clients dogs lives and transformations. I work with a lot of very large breeds this is my go to option for all of them. This harness looks like the spaghetti monster at first but turns my monster into a normal dog capable of learning leash skills, going on adventures and being safe in the car. LOVE. 100/10 recommend all the time!

I love these harnesses all three of my guys wear them. They’re the only ones that really are adjustable enough for a really good fit.

Harness is good but a bit tricky to adjust for the first time. They provide a good video to help. Definitely takes pressure off the shoulders when walking.
For putting on the harness, we undo all the buckles every time as our dog doesn’t like putting her head through a loop. This means you need to sort out the buckles each time - which strap goes with each buckle. This is harder to do in dim light. Therefore, I color-coded some of the buckles to make identification faster. For example, I used red paint on both sides of the collar buckle. Much better.

We had been through at least 3 other harnesses before our dog’s trainer recommended this one. It’s fantastic! It actually fits and allows him free range of movement. I’ve been recommending it to everyone. (It looks skinny but it’s quite strong.)

I tried several harnesses similar to the Balance Harness, and eventually gave up using one on my Rough Collies due to the matting that resulted from the back girth strap being too close to the shoulder/armpit area. Then someone told me about the Balance Harness by Blue-9 and I'm so pleased to have found it. The top and bottom straps actually provide enough length to give a proper fit on a long bodied dog. The neck and girth straps can be adjusted for fit, but it's the length in the body that makes this harness unique. I use a martingale collar and connect both the collar and the harness to the leash and have had no trouble with side slipping. I'm using this harness on both a rough and a smooth collie with great results. Thank you Blue-9 for a great design.

Love it! Easy to adjust, soft material, no chafing, and sits further back away from the armpits.

The balance harness is amazing. If you have a pulling dog it is easy to correct with this leash. Highly recommend.

I think this harness is perfect 😍 I had purchased a regular black and hot pink color and the fit wasn’t perfect so I tried the reflective color blue . The color is beautiful and I don’t know why but the reflective fits perfectly maybe the material is thicker 🤔 I’m not sure but my dog is between sizes and I prefer the 1 inch nylon so I go to the medium/lg. she wears it on the smallest setting. 40 to 42 lbs for reference. Material is high quality. Now if they would make a 10 ft leash 😊 I have a leash and that is very nice too.

I think it’s a great harness. My dog has a 32” chest/ribcage and weighs 82 lbs. so I bought him L/XL. M would have been pushing it with being too small. It seems to always rotate to the side, so the strap between his legs is always resting very close to his arm pit. We’re big into adventures, so he’s always sniffing about and running everywhere full of joy.

This harness is the perfect everyday walking harness. The front connect point is great for the car rides too!

The webbing on the reflective harness is noticeably thinner than the regular one. This would seem to be a lot less comfortable for the dog. blue-9 does disclose it, but’s tucked in the lower paragraph. If Blue-9 thinks this isn’t an issue … then put it right at the top so people can make a more informed decision for purchasing a more expensive product. Other reviewers mentioned this … I should have paid closer attention and not assume it would be the same as the harness I have relied on for 10 years. Very disappointing.

This is the 2nd Blue-9 harness for Cooper. We had the previous one for about 6 years, but damaged one of the clips that hold the chest wrap and didn't find a way to repair. We couldn't find Blue-9 products locally in Portland, OR, where we live. So we tried two other designs, but returned them both as they didn't work well with Cooper. So, I found Blue-9 online and ordered a new set of reflective harness + leash. As with the first set we had, we appreciate that all 6 of the connections around chest & neck as well as front-to-back are adjustable for maximum comfort for our Cooper. Neither of the others we tried were as flexible/adjustable.
